Aseptic Manufacturing Technician

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Aseptic Manufacturing Technician for a contract position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Athens, GA. This is a 10+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for the preparation of vaccine components within a highly regulated, aseptic clean room environment. The ideal candidate will utilize virus and cell culture techniques and adhere to strict Standard Operating Procedures and USDA regulations. The work schedule is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday, with some weekend and holiday work required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform activities associated with the preparation of vaccine components in an aseptic clean room environment utilizing virus and cell culture techniques according to USDA regulations
• Ensure compliance to the Standard Operating Procedures during execution of processes
• Assist with training and coaching of current and new employees on required skills
• Complete and review in-process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner; maintain technical data and support documentation
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems; escalate production flow disturbances
• Demonstrate a visible and tangible commitment to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) programs and initiatives
• Participate and provide support to site projects and initiatives, including deviation and change control management

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Clean room and aseptic technique knowledge
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
• Basic math skills and equipment/automation troubleshooting skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrated ability to problem solve

Desired skills:

• Biology Degree or related field
• One year or more of laboratory experience and/or manufacturing experience

Pay rate: up to $20.00 per hour
