Product Manager

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Product Manager for a contract position with a Major Retail Corporation located in New York, NY. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

This individual will ensure that vendor partners meet internal performance protocols and regulatory compliance requirements. The role is responsible for the general day-to-day activities related to product inspections, vendor onboarding, education, and effective communication with cross-functional partners and third-party vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Partner cross-functionally with Sourcing, Production, Design, Legal, and Merchandising to address regulatory and compliance issues
• Monitor repetitive testing, inspection failures, and problematic vendor performance and extract data for review
• Create quarterly reports for internal teams, vendors, and agents for vendor assessment
• Organize and maintain Product Integrity/Quality Assurance department records
• Oversee a product testing program related to physical properties, product safety, and government regulations
• Onboard and educate new vendors on Quality, Product Integrity, and Regulatory Compliance programs
• Identify quality problems, suggest solutions for failed test results, and recommend solutions
• Hold laboratories accountable for performing testing in accordance with specified methods and protocols
• Stay abreast of ever-changing State, Federal, and Global requirements
• Provide regulatory support to cross-functional partners

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of previous Product Integrity experience
• Experience working with product testing laboratories is a plus
• Knowledge of basic apparel manufacturing processes and procedures
• Familiar with industry standards, rules, and regulations (CPSC, CPSIA, FTC, CPSA, Cal Prop 65, REACH) and consumer product testing
• Superior skills in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
• Highly organized, ability to prioritize with attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
• A positive team player who can work independently
• Interest in product testing, fabric trends, sustainability, and social compliance

Pay range: up to $28.00 per hour
